Founded by Jean-Michel Gires, a traveler, photographer, and lover of Impressionist art, By Jean Michel transforms original photography into wearable art. Inspired by the natural world around him, he captured light, reflection, and colour through his camera lens and translated those images into distinctive scarves, pocket squares, ties, and apparel.

Originally from France and based in Calgary, the collections were designed in Canada and crafted in France and Indonesia. His work has been exhibited around the world, from Canada and China to Bolivia.

Each piece tells the story of the place that inspired it. When you wear a By Jean Michel scarf, you are wearing a moment in nature, captured through his lens and printed onto silk.

Today, By Jean Michel continues to share this artistic vision through wearable pieces that celebrate nature, colour, and craftsmanship.
