The Medici Cheetah rests high in the towers of a castle, looking over a hazy, dreamlike landscape. Below, familiar Renaissance buildings mix with imagined places such as the Tower of Babel, creating a world that feels both historic and magical. White flowers represent purity, while cherries and pomegranates symbolize the blood and flesh of Christ.

The design was inspired by Italian Renaissance art and architecture. The reclining cheetah reflects the pose of Titian’s Venus of Urbino, while the landscape includes landmarks such as the Tower of Pisa, the Basilica of Santa Croce and the Florence Baptistery.

A giraffe, elephant, and other unexpected animals appear throughout the scene, inspired by Renaissance paintings and the exotic animals once presented to the Medici family. Columbine flowers crown the cheetah’s head as a symbol of the Holy Spirit, while a dove arrives carrying news.

The playful text within the design is inspired by Titian’s Venus of Urbino.
