Patio season is upon us in Calgary, and after a year mostly spent indoors, we all deserve to enjoy great cocktails and amazing food on a sunny terrace! And of course, it’s the perfect time to show off some fresh spring/summer looks while doing so. Even if you prefer to wait until dining out with friends is allowed before going out to brunch, there’s no reason why you can’t plan your outfits now 😉 As with our previous themes, we’ve created two outfits. Where we focused on picking light, versatile, and comfortable pieces for our casual wear and garden event looks, we’ve gone a bit trendier for our brunch outfits.
The first look is very trendy in terms of cuts and shapes, and is perfect for a bold spring or summer look. It’s a bright outfit, but we’ve kept the palette rather limited and focused on the pinks with a bit of blue and yellow, which makes it look well put together rather than just loud. You can play around with the silhouette: experiment with the shirt by tucking it in, wear it in a French tuck, or you can also just leave it out, depending what you feel like. The gummy bear necklace, though small, adds a touch of youth and playfulness.

If bright colours and bold looks aren’t your thing, our second outfit is definitely more subdued (but just as stylish as the first one). The colour palette here is a bit more traditional, yet still remains modern and features nice, warm tones. The cashmere poncho makes this look super versatile: it will keep you warm if the weather gets a bit chilly outside, but you can also wear the poncho even if it’s hot out as it will help keep you cool. So you can enjoy your delicious brunch without worrying about being too hot or too cold outside! Thanks to its natural properties, cashmere is awesome at regulating temperatures — so don’t put away your cashmere pieces as soon as the temperatures rise!
