Winter has finally arrived in Calgary this year and the dropping temperatures and blowing snow have got us bundling up for the holidays. Here are three ways to stay effortlessly warm and incorporate your new scarf into your party look this season.

  • Casual:

If you’re headed to a casual house party to ring in the New Year, we suggest a basic shirt or blouse with dark or waxed denim. Complete the look with a brightly coloured scarf tied loosely around your neck for a pop of colour and style.

  • The LBD:

Don’t fuss about getting a new dress for the occasion, instead switch up your LBD and add a brightly coloured silk neckerchief. If you have long hair, wear your hair up with a pair of stud earrings for a Parisian-chic look.

  • Off The Shoulders:

Lastly, if you’re worried about your shoulders being cool at a big party, opt for a thin wool scarf draped over your shoulders like a shall. This classic look will keep you warm all evening and you’ll avoid having to wear your date’s jacket.
