Rooted in the art, pottery, poetry, and literature of ancient Greece, a majestic winged Pegasus bows at the centre of the design, shedding his golden bridle and proudly displaying an armband bearing the monstrous Chimera. His pearlescent wings reach elegantly to the corners of the composition.

Pegasus stands within a carved temple built in his honour, its floor running with fresh water as legend tells it does wherever he strikes his hoof, with Mount Olympus visible behind. Four painted vases flank the scene, each telling a chapter of his story — from springing forth from the beheaded Medusa, to his taming by Bellerophon, victory over the Chimera and Bellerophon's eventual fall. Poisonous hemlock and aconite weave through the floral details, a quiet nod to the duality of the gods.

At the base, a series of animal form amphoras surround a central vase echoing the full composition, bordered throughout by terracotta rosettes.
