The Song Deer Silk Twill Shawl 135
Pre-order by Sunday, May 24th.
Rooted in the ancient tradition of Tibetan thangka painting, a peaceful deer sits at the heart of this design, a symbol of serenity, calm, harmony, and peace in traditional Buddhist art. Adorned in antique Tibetan jewellery, the deer rests upon a cloud of stylised lotus petals, a parasol of peacock feathers floating overhead, offering spiritual protection, and embroidered fabrics draped softly across its back.
Four intricately carved, silver-clad conch shell trumpets surround the central figure, while lotus and wisteria flowers evoke purity and humility. Two gentle cranes flank the scene, symbolising longevity and wisdom. Interlocking daisy borders representing purity of mind frame the composition, each centred by a vajra, a potent symbol of enlightenment.
Woven into the design, Tibetan script reads tashi delek, an auspicious greeting meaning "good luck and good health."
